hi! ok so i just wanted to say that i respect your decision to vote yes in the referendum but i just wanted to argue that scotland will suffer massively if we go independent, taxes will sky rocket, we will have to pay for health care, our small population will not be able to produce a strong enough economy to fund schools and hospitals and things and worst of all what on earth will we use for currency? No disrespect at all but I just thought i'd bring it to your attention...

I wish I’d seen this in time but honestly I don’t know where you’ve got your facts from. Taxes under the SNP would stay the same, as they would under all the other major parties. Free education is one of the mandates of the SNP and the whole point of independence was that we would NOT have to pay for healthcare. The NHS is so important to the people of Scotland, it’s England that want to privatise and cut up our welfare state. But anyway, it doesn’t matter. We fucked it, we voted no and right now I can not imagine ever forgiving the no voters. In 10 years no one will admit to having voted no because we will be in such a bad way and that could have been avoided. Anyway. What can you do. Well done Scotland for voting democratically and well done for a 40%increase in voting turnout. That’s all I have to say.

This may sound dumb but is Scotland voting for freedom from the UK? Or is it somewhere else. Sorry I just don't know what's happening

Scotland is voting to be an independent country, so yes, we are voting on whether or not we leave the UK. It’s a bit of a big deal.

my grandmother took blue and white flowers to my grandpa’s grave today. he would be so proud of scotland even just getting to this point nevermind what the outcome is tomorrow. I don’t know if any of you are scottish/of voting age but if you have a vote tomorrow I urge you to vote yes. we have a chance to make enormous changes and we must take it and run with it. I can’t imagine any other country in the world turning down the chance to control their own affairs. vote yes tomorrow for real change, and for my grandpa. he worked really hard for this. I know he’d be proud of me today. good luck Scotland x
